If I were you guys, I'd stick with boonman on the flywheel. I don't remember what he charged, but I believe he covered shipping back. That will almost pay for the difference. I'm 50/50 on that part of it. I do remember I had that thing back in 5 or 6 business days from sending it out.

Looks like that place builds some nice stuff though.

I sent the guy this message...

I see that you lighten flywheels. I've heard of some guys trimming as much as 11oz off of a stock flywheel. How much do you take off of yours and do you guarantee that the flywheel will not "fly" apart?

I would also like a pic of one of your lightened flywheels.

Thanks.

Hopefully he'll get back to me.

Yeah, let us know.

Also, as your professor friend posted, it depends where people take the material from. I think there are some different brands of flywheels out there that are built a little different then the yamaha stock ones. That could be the reason for one or the other flying apart.

That is hella cheap. :bolt: Man, for that price, I may be sending my work there!!!! I have never seen anyone price it that low. Rod was correct, I do cover shipping back, but only to HQ members. And that site shows some damn fine work!!! And to address the flywheel coming apart, that was a Ricky Stator unit. and that problem has been worked out, and is all documented for future reference now. Bring on the Ricky wheels!!!
