Wup This Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 I do a lot of riding in a lot of places that don't call for me to be a Pro MX rider and I don't want knobby tires. I was looking at Spider Tracs but their availibility has become limited sooooooo...... I need a suggestion on mud tires for my Banshee. It's stock and staying that way. My theory is any tire can get you down the trail just fine but if you hit some nasty stuff or it's snowing you are screwed. I had the Spider Tracs on an old Tecate and loved them. BTW- new to the HQ..very nice site and I'm learning a lot about my new toy. I actually get paid to ride a Quad as a power line inspector and I get to go many places not open to motorized vehicles in the name of duty. I have been riding some form of ATV since the early 80's..holy shit that makes me sound old, but I was only 9...lol. I just picked up my 2000 Banshee so I can show my friends how it's done! My work Quad is a Sportsman 500. Quote
kenr74 Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 I'm running a 22" Maxxis Sur-Trak for the mud. Lots of ground clearance and they do pretty well in the slippery stuff. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Here ya go...you even replied in it http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37838 Welcome to the HQ Quote
Wup This Posted January 13, 2005 Author Report Posted January 13, 2005 I read that thread..and yes I replied. I guess I was looking for more of a tire that someone would say was comparable to the Spider Tracs. I am leaning toward Mud Sharks but I'm flexible. Quote

Wup This Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 Took the Sharks out for a bit of a test and they are awesome. I mounted them on some new ITP rims with a +2 offset and they are viscous in the mud and snow. I'm going to send my friend some tear offs for the upcoming season. Quote
