Holyman
Here is a tech tip and measurements for installing a grease fitting in a Banshee swingarm. The Grease fitting can be bought anywhere. It is a 1/4-28 screw in fitting with a nylon washer underneath to make sure I could set the angle of the grease fitting. I drill the inner sleeve to allow some of the grease to get to the bolt in the event I ever have to take it apart.

Holyman
That's 2" from the end and about 1/4" up from the weld just to make sure there's no probs with tightening down the grease fitting.

You only need to drill the hole thru 1 side of the sleeve. The excess grease will come out fromunder the dust caps. The swingarm bearings are not sealed so pressure is easily released when you pump in the grease.

Holyman
great....ill do this tomorrow...how many oz of grease fills it up? do you have a walk through for the carrier? 303161[/snapback] The same amount of licks as it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop... The world may never know The carrier is about the same except I use a press in or Hammer in fitting instead of threading. Drill a .25 hole, put a press in fitting in the hole, Put a 1/4" deep socket over the top of the fitting and hammer it in with a couple sharp blows. I also drill the inner sleeve. Cool thing about doing the carrier is that you can put the zirk where ever it's convenient.
fixitrod
I put one in the dead center of the swingarm. Yours is more convenient.
