RNBRAD Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 That may be your chain stretching. Or is your carier turning inside the housing? Jack the back wheels off the ground, take chain off and turn the axle and see if you are experiencing any resistance. May have a bearing problems as well. Check these things and make sure your carrier pinch bolts are tight and not coming loose. Quote

I think the carier is spinning in the housing. what do you run? Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 This might sound a bit biased, but I haven't had a problem with my carriers slipping in my swingarms at all. 2 pinch bolts, and I just tighten them as tight as I can get. I dont use a torque wrench. Just an allen and a cresent. Quote
night rider Posted January 2, 2005 Author Report Posted January 2, 2005 i don't know what is wrong it its a pane in the ass when i'm on a long ride and have to stop to tighten my chain I always carry tools for that but it is getting old quick Quote
RNBRAD Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Mark your carrier and make sure, take a magic marker and put a line on the carrier and side of housing. Man I've just never heard of one turning inside the carrier with the bolts tight. Yea and those chains shouldn't stretch any if at all. Your just going to have to do a process of elimination to find what it is. I run the DID x-ring and Jannsen +4 swinger. Yet to have any problems so far. I only had to tighten my chain once after the intial ride then it has stayed within tolerances. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 gotta be your carrier turning. no way your chain keeps stretching and if your bearings are all fine then its gotta be the carrier turning. make sure its tight and mark it like rnbrad said. that will tell it all. Quote
