Cool Heads

Well since we are on the topic of cool heads.....Tell me if I have this right.  Milling the head is basically a cheap way of upping compression right?  And the milled head wont run any cooler right?  Then on the other hand the cool head is going to up your compression, cool more efficently, but going to cost more.  Does that sound accurate?  I'm still learning :)

i hate to thread jack but im new and i have a question for dave. i have a 98 shee with fmf gold series fattys and a set of power core 2's(jetted accordingly) i plan to do a few other mods such as reed spacers lightening the flywheel v force reeds and maybe a very mild woods port. i was wondering if i use your head what domes would be best with the mods i have listed? i already run 93 octane or higher, but dont want to have to switch to race fuel. also i use klotz r 50 oil at 32:1 or 25:1 depending on how hard im gonna ride that particular day any and all help would be appreciated and also i dont suppose u have any blems in silver do ya again sorry for the thread jack thanks oldschool98

Oldschool,

I'd probably run 20cc domes. If you took a trip to lower elevations or advanced the timing you might want to run a little higher octane.

2stroke_addict and bigboybanshee,

Thanks guys. I'm glad you like the stuff. That's what makes it fun to make 'em.

I've heard that you gotta change the head studs with a pro-Design. Is it the same for Noss? I run ADA, and didn't change the studs, but you can't run v-force cages with an ADA. Can you run aftermarket reed cages with a Noss?
