I know how to add coordinates like this 32' 57.97 N / 115' 10.23W but the other coordinate above is different. maybe, I can change the input settings on the handheld? nater006 Posted December 29, 2004 Report Share Posted December 29, 2004 (edited) fixitrod's got it right. Should you be elsewhere with no access to the web at the time, it is some basic math. The degrees will always read the same (i.e.,, 37' 0 min, or 37.000 degrees) but the minutes are the issue. If its in decimal, i.e., 37.1234, just multiply the fraction portion (.1234) by 60 and you'll get the minutes -- in this case, its approximately 9 minutes. If its 43.500 degrees, it just becomes 43 degrees, 30 minutes. It gets a little more complex when you figure seconds into it... and the website will help. You can just know that its like... 9.8 minutes and do the same X 60 thing to the .8 part again.
