Yamahammer Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 love mine took a hard spill last year off a 30 ft double on a dirt bike and no broken leg or ankle so i say they are tough. no complaints i think i am goin to step up to the 10 this year i like the new design Quote
FlatTrackinIt55 Posted December 28, 2004 Author Report Posted December 28, 2004 thnx for the quick reply yamahammer, yeah i saw the 10's and i would of liked to have those but they are way to expensive for me, but i think the tech 8's are gonna do me good Quote
FlatTrackinIt55 Posted December 28, 2004 Author Report Posted December 28, 2004 does no one else have them or what Quote
racer714 Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 have had mine 3 yrs, killer boot, real comfortable with little break in time, get the white vented ones for sure!!!!!!1 Quote
Yamahammer Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I have 6 now and was talked ouit of the 8 because of the removable bootie and the salesperson said if you do not do aot jumping you dont need them . wish i would have got the 8's. so thats why i am getting the tens plus i like the 10 for the smother transition from top to sole more like a tennis shoe should make it easier to shift and so forth. you will not be disapointed in them... i started looking at pro riders and half of them use the 6 also i wonder if it is because the bootie maybe a hassle to put on ?? tats4life Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 10's are extremely stiff....the inter bootie is out of a road race boot....the damn thing don't flex well at all....i've been running 8's for years....finally destroyed them and got a set of tech 6's. Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 i got some tech 6 for x mas. rode in them sunday and they are sweet as hell. just need to break them in a little. i dont think u can go wrong with any of the tech boots. Quote
23champ Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 alpinestars are the best boot you can buy in my opinion. They're all I've wore for about 12yrs Quote

Otis Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I agree with champ...been wearin A-stars for years, and love em! Tech 8's for the dirt and SMX-Plus for the street/track also i wonder if it is because the bootie maybe a hassle to put on ?? I don't even take the bootie out anymore. The boot slips right on with out having to. Quote
