oldschool98
like the topic says best mud tire. i used to have a blaster and i ran mud sharks on it and was very satisfied, but the banshee has far more power and loves to spin the wheels. so who out there rides mud and what do you use? i checked gbc's website and they offer it in a 21 inch version(they used to offer in a 20 but oh well) will the shee pre form ok in the woods/ mud with a 21" rear? FlatTrackinIt55
what are you doing riding a banshee and going mudding?? but to answer your question 21" tires would do fine, id try and go with something with the treads providing forward traction if its in the mud, like mudbugs or gators..but then again i never would go "mudding" w/ a banshee so im not really sure.. oldschool98
whats wrong with a good mud hole?
PUSH THE THROTTLE
I ride muddy trails and I run 20" Fast Trekkers I don't hardly have any problems. If you ride in alot of mud get yourself some GBC Paddlemasters they are paddles for mud and snow, you will be able to go through just about anything. The paddlemasters are great when a 4x4 gives you crap about a two wheel drive, 400 lbs plus rider Banshee with the fastest spinning paddles on will beat a 700lb plus rider 4x4 through the mud anyday. bigboybanshee
I run a set of 22 inch GBC Dirt Devils. They grab well in the mud and spin just enough on dirt to keep you from standing it up too quick. They're fairly cheap, 6 ply, and have had little tread wear in the past year that I've ridden them. I highly recommend using them if you like to trail ride. I run a 13 tooth gear to help compensate for the taller tire.....
SICK BOY
I use to run 22" Holeshot XCT's in the mud, they did the job.
dnhyoung
I personally wouldn't ride my shee in the mud, that's what I have a 660 grizzly for, and I run ITP Mudlite's on it 26x9x12 XL on the front and 26x12x12 on the rear. 6 Ply and really aggresive tread.. just my $.
night rider
mud sharks work great in mud I have alot of friends who have them I like em, a little to heavy for me though i street race to much rotating mass =less hp so lite tire less mass = more hp

.
Realtors are a great tire, if you dont know what your getting yourself into, they are definitely a good tire to be wearing. Only complaint is that they only come in a 22" tire (harder turning, bigger turning radius, and make you sit up on the tank), and that they arent very controllable in powersliding, they'll grip and then slip out on you the next second. I've run Black Waters and they are a very good tire and come in a 20" tire. The tread is wicked (especially when they are new), powersliding is pretty controllable, and for a 20" tire, you cant beat the hook in the sloppy stuff. Right now I'm running the mud sharks as well. They are a decent tire at 21"s and dont make you sit up on the tank and dont notice them being taller than a 20" really. They hook decently everywhere but where they excel is in mudholes. I dont know what it is about them, but they just like to go through mudholes like they are nothing, really quite amazing.....I was down at Hatfield-McCoy and hit this mudhole that was deeper than I anticipated (especially for no airbox lid), and it pulled through it like butter.....it surprised me so much that I turned around and hit it again for good measure. Guest nightmare
I like Blackwaters hell they're named after the muddiest race ever. Pure Sport Realtors are good to. Check out www.nebraskatire.com They sell realtors for 25 bucks each. Thats pretty cheap for any tire.
