Steering stems..what are ya using?

alright guys i need some input on steering stems...I have to replace my stocker(bent it with my chest )..i figure i might as well go aftermarket...

lemme know what you have...specs,details,likes / dislikes,

who makes the good stuff and who to stay away from...any info will help thanks...

 

oh and if anyone happens to be selling a stem(non stocker) lemme know.

I'm running a Janssen Racing +1 with the anti-vibe system. It's chromed chromoly and comes with the billet clamps and a lifetime warranty for around 270. I couldn't find anyone to touch that price at the time. Awesome quaility unit and I have no complaints. Just be sure and get the anti-vibe set-up, it works great. I also noticed some units don't come with the bar clamps and this can add an additional 40 to 60 dollars or more.

Im running a Gibson +1 in chrome and I surely LOVE it.. Last I knew they also come complete with clamps.(anti-vibe) Their clamps also have a mount for a tether built in...

i believe the only stems that don't come complete are some LSR and Roll Design...not sure about gibson...viper doesn't make one for a shee.

duuuuude!! same exact setup here. stem is sweet as hell and the price is unbeatable. i looked all over at stems and got the janssen.

I am running a Boonie +3 stem. (I made it myself). Works fantastic. I love it. And with my MX bend bars, they sit at the proper height. (for me anyways) I like tall bars.....

I've got a +1 stem I got from tats. Love it, everything's perfect. Only problem I've found is that the mounts are like 3 mm too narrow for a Scotts or GPR stabilizer to fit on. That's pretty frustrating. GPR is coming out with a new stabilizer Jan 1 that will fit behind the rad and mount up out of the way with a remote handlebar adjuster, so that'll probably be how I go. Like I said, otherwise, working great for me.

I have a +1 chrome LSR with anti-vibe mounts. I paid 250 for it new off e-pay

Standard Renthals. I'd like some double wall renthals, though It's probably more likely to bend the stem that way instead of the bars. I'd rather risk the bars I recon.
