I work in a sawmill and do several jobs in the mill. One of my jobs that i have to do is I have to throw away any of the garbage wood that passes by me on the chain. The day after we got the slap in the face or should I say bonus I threw away more wood then ever. Lets see at $75 a board for a clear faced 10ft 8/4 maple I must have thrown away 150 of them that day (on purpose) that would meen I just cost the company $11,250. those fuckers should have given me a bonus. I could get into details of what I do but nobody would understand so Ill just say a saw mill in general.

Well I'm one of the lucky one that gets a x-mas bonus every year

The company I work for is small (11 of us) but I weld around 2 million of product for the company this year so I got $2500. I don't even see the money cause it goes straight to my student loans. No complaints here I'm just happy I get the opportunity to have all that I do.

Sorry to hear about all that had lost there jobs. It sucks I have been there also and it will work out somehow. That

I dont really get a bonus from the company I work for, but if we go the whole year without getting into an accident, injury or are late or anything of the type, depending on how much time you put in throughout the year, you get a safety bonus (about 1500 for me). Every injury or accident you get takes off money, so i'm ending up without 1000 (screwed up my shoulder), and then taxes taken off that I'll get about 600. Not really a xmas bonus, and wont get it till february, but its not bad.

My real xmas bonus comes from my customers. I pick up over 6000 customers a week, and if each of them gave me a 5 dollar tip I'd be rolling in dough. Doesnt quite work that good but I've gotten more cases of beer and cookies and the like this year than any year past, and have pulled about 1800 in tips. I'm really grateful for the tips I get and provide the best service I can to those who do tip me and take care of me.

I did pretty good this year, the company gave me a 40-hour check ($410 after taxes) as a Christmas bonus. I do all the shipping & receiving, as well as purchasing, so I got some good stuff from some vendors too, heh, a damn good ham from Southern Chain & Roller, some Austrian wine from Agru America, tons of chocolates & fudge so it's all good.

I work at a small heavy construction company, maybe 25-30 employees, but I really can't complain, I like my job and it has great benefits. Not tryin' to brag but it's definitely one of the best jobs I've had. After 12 years here I've got a company truck (I don't pay for gas, insurance, or maintenence and drive it everywhere), wireless hi-speed internet (finally!), a 401k with profit sharing, decent uniforms (no laundry heh), company cell, sponsorship help to go to races, and a damn good computer to waste alot of my 10-hour days on...on any given day I can download and listen to any music I want, chat with girls, cruise the HQ, and scope out as much porn as I can stand...on slow days I can play through Generals or Dawn of War, when it gets busy I get the job done and don't hafta deal with alot of stress. Overall it's a pretty good deal.

Here's hopin' the best for everyone for the New Year

My wife got layed off for her Christmas bonus along with 150 other workers for SBC (phone company) in Northern CA so they could outsourse the jobs to Texas.

I work for the state so we don't even get a company sponsered christmas party cause it would be on your tax dollars.

Sorry to hear about your wife Ducman. I work for SBC in Michigan, we didn't get shit for a bonus, the company didn't even allow our boss to have a christmas lunch or anything for us. I guess my bonus is not losing my job. banghead

Man oh man. Horror stories!!! At my place of current employment, Well, my day job, I got about a grand. Taxed. Company is decent size, over 200 employees. And every day you miss, counts against you exponentially. I missed 1/2 day this year. (actually, I was late by a few minutes, but that counts as a half day against you for bonus....) I also got a sweatshirt. Nice Fruit of the Loom sweatshirt too. I design and build high speed precision automated machinery. Start to finish. Feom welding, painting, machining, assembly, electrical, programming, everything. I do it all. Fun and entertaining job. Keeps my mind busy. Now, for one of my other jobs, we didn't get shit. (ski Instructor). I think it costs me more to work there teaching skiing than I make there in a season. Oh well. The bar I bartend at on the weekend, didn't give out shit for a bonus. Didn't really piss me off that much. Ans for my own business, I didn't give myself anything. However, the wife did get me a new air ratchet for Christmas. :headbang:

Merry Christmas everyone.
