sanddevil111
back in the day when my shee was still stock My buddy had just bought a craptor and he put ct pipes on it and from a dead stop he could beet me but i always caught him up top and when we were racing froma roll like 3rd gear we were dead even all the way up to top speed and then i would pull very slowly on him..and i raced ds650 stock vs stock and that was a closer race but i still beet him.. and at the time 450's werent out so I would say a banshee would beet just about anything stock vs. stock as long as the shee had traction..even a cannondale or predator
2stroke_addict
sorry guys but a stock yfz450 can take even a mildy ported banshee in the dirt. alot depends on rider and conditions but im here to tell you that we have raced our 450s against banshees many times. our banshees and other peoples banshees. on dirt damn near every fuckin time the 450 will win. put them on a road and its a different story. 296665 that's absurd, i have eaten 450's for lunch all the time. broke
that's absurd, i have eaten 450's for lunch all the time. 296708 I have now had the chance to race quite a few 450's. I can say that I have NEVER taken one out of the hole. They just hook up too damn well. It's just a great quad stock, Yamaha did their homework and didn't leave a whole lot of room to go faster with out throwing a bundle of money at it. My brother has a yfz450 piped and re-jetted with -1 tooth in the front sprocket. He kills me on dirt flat. I can take him on the hills though. Although I just took off my airbox, and put on some k&n pods. And re-jetted. So well just have to see now.....

rptorman
When I had my Raptor, I beat stock shees all the time hill shootin' the dunes. Now I have my Banshee and with few mods, OMFG. It doesn't take many mods to wake up the monsterous beast of a Banshee. My shee is stock now, but for how long?
Killer_Shee
From my experience with the 450's, both the Yammy and Honda, once they are piped and cammed they are damn tough to beat without some extensive engine modification. Don't take the 450's lightly because if you're stock they'll hand you your ass.
redcell43
my 2 best friends have diffrent atv's one has a raptor and the other has a 400ex (we give him sh*t all the time) and i bought a banshee . and at stock i would beat them 4 out of 5 times. the only bike i had trouble keeping up with was a 426 dirtbike. Ducman
In the sand, the YFZ 450 stock will eat a stock banshee, I know I've beaten a few on my wifed bike, piped/ modded 450 will be pretty even with a mildly ported banshee, a heavily ported banshee with carbs drag pipes ect will woop up on a 450 unless it has had some major shit done to it and I haven't seen a truly bad ass drag 450 yet. I haven't seen any fast TRX 450r's out there either although I know they exist I doubt in stock form they would beat a stock banshee and definitly not a piped banshee. 2K1Banshee350
correction a stock 450r is even or a lil quickler then a stock banshee. now that i have the hrc kit i smoke the stock banshee by 3-4 lengths depending how long the race is
Banchetta
I know this is a shee forum, but lets get real....The stock shee will get taken by a raptor, 400ex, 250R, 450's, and ds 650's. NO doubt..now a piped shee......that'll depend on rider. This is on dirt w/ knobbies...On pavement, the shee will take topend, but thats it. A stock raptor is one of the faster 4-strokes topping out at 72, the shee will top out at 74. I don't know what the new 450's are topping out at, but don't even think about racing them short distance on a stock shee....
Banchetta
THIS will beat a Banshee. 296685 Maybe if my daughter was riding it....
Banshee~
i raced ds650 stock vs stock and that was a closer race but i still beet him. 296695 ds650's aint shit...bike length in a sand drag
Banshee~
I know this is a shee forum, but lets get real....The stock shee will get taken by a raptor, 400ex, 250R, 450's, and ds 650's. 298650 what the hell are you talking about...i can take a 400ex w/ lid removed by 3-4 bike lenghts in 150y drag...250r's arnt that hot stock....raptors will just get wheelies and i will pass them...ds 650's are fat...450's are nice thou. FlatTrackinIt55
i agree with you banchetta except for three of those quads,. i think if you get a banshee to hook up and not spin it would beat the raptor,400ex and 250r, now this is with a banshee hooking up and all 4 quads stock, but hey.. banshees arent meant to be left stock.. so mod the hell out of them and whoop everyones ass..plain and simple
