Whats up everyone. I'm new to this forum. I've been wanting a banshee for a long time and i think this spring i will be able to get one. I've riden one before so i kinda know what i'm getting in to.

I was wondering what kind of atv's will beat the shee stock. I know with a few mods everything can level out, but stock will a raptor kick my butt?? I know it has alot to do with the rider, but machine against machine.

Soon i hope to be able to give some advice and help out noobs also :D

Thanks guys,

-Nick

Same here, I think it also has to do with what you are racing on (street, dirt, sand) In my book Raptors are good for one thing, Wheelies!!!!! Thats It!

Hmmm...Thats wierd, every top-end run I have read says the Banshee always tops out 3-4 MPH faster than the Raptor, stock the Raptor tops out at 73 MPH and I believe the Banshee was like 77.

gearing is also an issue..ive seen stock raptors walk banshees all depends on the conditions and the rider...

if you have any problems just get a set of pipes and its over

i personally like the raptor though..they are quick and with a pipe and cam they fly

never seen a bone stock banshee that did almost 80 miles an hour before and i doubt that you have either. Also when i got the info we were on paved road. after about a mile and a half he cought me and around 1.75 miles he passed me

I figured that there weren't many that will take the banshee. I was just wondering what races to avoid :bolt: . Thanks for the welcome, and I hope to have my shee soon. I want to get an a-arm version of the banshee, so it looks like 91 and up i think. Mods will include rocket pipes, some intake, maybe the 404 kit, and a regear to 13/41 ish?? mostly trail riding.

Thanks,

-Nick

The 450s will take a Shee in 300ft dirt. It all depends on the race conditions.

BTW, 77mph sounds about right for a stock Shee. Mine does 73 and it has a 44 tooth rear sprocket and single carb. Dual carbs wind up a bit further and the stock Shee has a 41 tooth sprocket.

sorry guys but a stock yfz450 can take even a mildy ported banshee in the dirt. alot depends on rider and conditions but im here to tell you that we have raced our 450s against banshees many times. our banshees and other peoples banshees. on dirt damn near every fuckin time the 450 will win. put them on a road and its a different story.
