Wassup350
Dude get a banshee they are awesome through trails!! I hand fine with my buddies, 1 has a Pred, 1 has a YFZ450, 1 has a 450R, and my bro has an LT230 quadsport. If i aint leading them im right behind them through the woods. They are awesome for hill climbing and duning also. As with every quad there is maintinence though. You should at change the rings almost every year depending on how much you ride it, this isnt a big problem its pretty easy to do. The rear axle bearings tend to wear out sometimes so you have to make sure that the axle locknuts are always tight and your chain is tight. It would be good to install a grease fitting on the carrier. If you do get one definitely invest in an aftermarket airfilter and bolt on flange. Banshees have a poor filtration system and its the best thing you can get to improve reliability. Banshee~
Well i might be getting a banshee. My buddy is getting a YFZ this spring, so i need something larger than my blaster. I was flipping threw my local auto RV and found a 2001 Banshee for 2,600!!! I have always wanted a bashee and now i might get one. I would probly sell my blaster for 1,200 or so. So that would give me about 2K to spend on a banshee. Plus i have tons of blaster and truck parts so that would give me a good $2,500. Now the big problem. Parents! My parents hate the idea of me spending money on my quad, rather than my dodge. My dodge is about perfect right now (performance-wise) And now i want a bigger atv with better brakes and more power. Any ways to talk my parents into buying a banshee? I told them that they have alot better brakes, and has alot more power. They dont understand that my blaster is getting too small for me. So what should i do? Thanks..... By the way..I am 15. 296134[/snapback] I know what your talking about...its hard talking them into it
Banshee17Racing
Well...I started out on a Blaster and bought a Banshee after a year or so. If you think a Warrior is too heavy for you, you might want to test ride a 'shee before you buy it(a Banshee is just as heavy). A Banshee is going to handle better than a warrior and Blaster, but you won't be able to throw the 'shee around like you can with a Blaster. Also....a Banshee requires much more maintenance than a Blaster (remember a Banshee has two carbs to jet, and sychronize). And like Wassup350 said, you've got two cylinders, pistons, and rings. But as long as you keep up on maintenance, shee's as reliable as any other quad. If you were modding your Blaster, I bet sooner or later you will be modding a banshee. Otis
Plus i have tons of blaster and truck parts so that would give me a good $2,500. What truck parts do you have??....if You have some 7" coils / DC long arms, or an M1 layin around, you let me know when your ready to part that thing out! trailboss250
Maybe i should step into the dark side and get a 400ex? I know they are really reliable, not as quick as the YFZ but still can keep up with it. And it will beat my buddies warrior. And it has electric start which is a Plus to me. How much do you think i can pick up a EX for?

By next summer, do you think i can pick up a used raptor for around 3K, hope so.
ledofthezep
There's nothing wrong with 400ex's...even though peeps always talk mad shit on them, I personally like them...not just because I own one. They're definately no banshee though.
