went to Dumont today, and found out that they are now charging 20 bucks for a week, or 60 for a year pass...

kinda sucks, but i guess i can understand them doing it....as long as they put the money back into it ....maybe paving the road way in...adding more pissers(rest rooms) and garbage dumpsters, and getting on site medics 24-7...........

still dont like it, but......we'll see what happens.....

When I was in Dumont I was super impressed with how clean it was for not having any dumpsters. I think I mentioned that to Fixitrod and BenBB...that at Sand Mountain UT there is shit everywhere and they have like 10 dumpsters that you can damn near just THROW your stuff in from where ever your are standing.

The second cleanest set of dunes I've been to is St Anthony, but thats all changed to where its nearly impossible to litter....really clean now that there are no open fires allowed

And it usually is, but yesterday it was "trashed"

I dont how many times i swerved to avoid hitting a bottle or can.....and in one place someone had drug a bag of garbage with a hole in it, up the hill leaving a trail of sh!t behind....

buy yeah your right, it's usually pretty clean

i have been riding gordens well sence i was 4 yrs old im now 30..in the last few years they have started charging $25 foe 1 week or $90 for a season and i have yet to see anything be done with the money exept for the toll booth that was installed???ohhh and they did fix the dirt road that motor homes used to get stuck on but that was a 1 time fix and its now self maintained..the b.l.m is driving some very prety new trucks out there though..now here is my question.its known that here in california we must pay a reg fee.for the off road sticker, the money collected from the dmv for the off road stickers is suposed to be used to fix and improve the riding areas in california.now im having to pay when i go to these places 2 times.one is for the reg. for the bike and the other is a land fee? both of the funds the money goes to is suposed to pay the same thing,,so why are we paying 2 times now for the same thingand where is our money realy going?????the only thing i have seen new out at gordens well is the brand new vehicles the rangers from blm drive???no medics on site no rest rooms nothing ???..on a different note there have awlys beeen dumpsters at gordens well and the trash i saw out there this weekend was amazing what a mess..the only thing i saw that i thaught was cool is someone left a whole stack of fire wood where they had camped..that is not trash because the next guy will be able to use that..but people lets take our bottles and cans and put it in the dumpsters not the dunes...after all you have room in the cooler to get it into the dunes but that also means you have room to take it out too
