ledofthezep
Bullshit, considering my truck falls in this category. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,141065,00.html No signs yet of mine going bad, but I'll have their ass if I wreck my truck because they screwed up & don't have the balls to stand behind they're shit & fix their screw-ups. zilladude
Led- It is real common on the 4x4's with the 31x10.50 15 tires. They usually start to get loose around 40,000 miles. I have seen one upside down in the ditch missing the left front knuckle/wheel. I dont know if it caused the roll or was a result of the roll. Gov't Asks Dodge to Recall 600,000 Trucks Friday, December 10, 2004 NEW YORK
bigboybanshee
That really sucks!! I'm sure once that article gets read by more and more Dodge owners, they'll have to recall it.... That would be pretty shitty if in the end they just said to hell with the faulty joints and refused to fix them....
stclark04
I heard about that today. My truck falls under that too.
Brooke
reminds me of a story my dad told me about when he worked for irving driving a truck when he was a teenager. his radio call to the station went something like this: "hey this is wally i may have a problem here." "go ahead wally, whats the problem?" "im in route to the station and my left rear tires just passed me" hahaha minor malfunction
.
yeah, its supposedly with the 99's as well. Actually probably all the newer style models starting in 97. Problem is that they upper balljoints arent greasable and they wear prematurely. I saw a thing about it on a local news channel here about 6 months ago. Mine's a 99 and when I go over speedbumps and pulling forward out of a driveway from a sidewalk I hear a like a clunk popping type noise...... On a side note, ever since I saw the report I've been wearing my seatbelt They were showing all sorts of durangos and dakotas with front wheels missing. The one took everything with it, lower arm, drive axle etc etc. Edited December 10, 2004 by .

locogato11283
they wont recall shit. it would be cheaper for them to just say fuck the recall and let themselves get sued. then theyll just pay off whoever gets injured. who was it back in the day that had the car that exploded when rear ended? they didnt recall anything, it was cheaper for them to just settle out of court with the victims. Wallynut
Dodges may have more occurances of front wheels going their seperate ways, but they aren't the only ones. Just seen a Ford "Lightning" pickup that had lost it's right front. Only 2 years old with about 60,000 miles on it.
