cam2
i was wondering how these compare to keihin and mikuni carbs as far as performance and the ease of tuning.
racer
they are supposed to be super easy to tune. as fas as performance, they are what the big boys run. available in sizes up to 50mm, so theyve got what you need. the place to get them is packard enterprises. they have some mod for them that makes them kickass. toolman
I have a single setup with a Lectron carb 40mm it is easy to jet . I just remove the seat and and can change jets or remove the the slide and adjust the needle. No clips to remove you just turn the needle in or out or change it out .As for performance it runs just as good if not better than dual carbs with out all the jetting hassles. Check out Fast By Gast website 288090[/snapback] I would not run this carb. I have heard nothign but horror stories about them from several people. I hear they are made like crap also. My friend had one and said all the screws were crappy flat heads. He also had issues with his single carb leaking. He sent it back to lectron company (whatever they are called) (it was new) and paid well over $100 to have it repared thinking all the issues were gone. After the first ride it was leaking again. HORRIBLE SERVICE! he wasted a ton of cash trying to get it to work. He said it was very poorly made and looked realy cheap anyways. Ended up eating the money he spent and is now using a PWK Airstriker with a Power Jet (electronicaly controlled) I believe.
toolman
I do not know what he had. I have had only good luck with mine the few things i have needed for it bowl gasket, needles for rejetting have come from Fast By Gast call them stuff arrived in a few days. They can't be to bad all your top bike drag racers are using them. I read your post again 100 bucks he did'nt buy a new Lectron hell that would'nt buy the slide and a couple needles.
