I got a banshee w/ the following

trued/welded hot rod crankshaft

coolhead

v force reeds

toomey t5s

I want a fast dune bike that is reliable. Preferably on gas. I can get 110 octane.

I was thinking---dune port, bigger carbs, CPI / shearer pipes

Does this sound good to you or should i get a +4 stroker?

I want it to be cost effective.

Who should I let port it, I called Eric Gorr today and he only does a woods port--not enough power for me.

word. gorrs shit rocks. check out his website. www.eric-gorr.com i had some passion cylinders and they sucked so personally id stay away from them. plus i dont think you get your moneys worth out of them. gorrs woods port is like 200 bucks. its well worth the money. sredish has it too and he loves it.

just got my shit dialed in perfect for my passion port job. I must say, it has lots of bottom end grunt, i have not get to open it up yet, just rode it up and down my driveway. its funny, the guy who dialed in my bike said that its faster than his yfz450 with over 2 grand in the motor alone.

I just posted in your other thread. And I just now read this. If you are looking for a drag port, you might not want to go with Gorr. Ive got mine set up with this woods port, v force reeds, T-5s, and 33mm carbs with 16/44 gearing and mine hauls ass from top to bottom. NO dead spots, no hesitation. Pure power everywhere. I do some drag racing, you win some you lose some. But if you plan on doin any other kind of riding I wouldnt go with a full out drag port, unless you like to be on the clutch the whole time.

I talked to Eric Gorr today on the phone--I asked if he did a dune style port, he said no--just a woods port, more for MX style riding.

I don't ride MX, I ride dunes, and I like to drag race and win--is this going to get the job done?

I think you just answered your own question.

MX ports are for MX style ridding. Drag Ports are for winning races. :)

yea id say you answered your own question. it doesnt sound to me like you want a setup with power all the way around. it sounds like to me that you wanna do some draggin and be able to beat most people you line up with. in that case be prepared to drop at least 2,000 into it. do you realize how many people have big built up engines? if you wanna be competitive id say a stroker with some pretty crazy drag porting, although you can build a really fast stock stroke bike. its really gonna depend on how much you wanna spend.

I just bought a different bike than the one I was looking at.

This one is a +4 stroker, full dune/drag port and CPIs..and some more :headbang:

I don't need to be the fastest, just wanna line up and do ok...

Where I ride / race is Silver Lake, MI...most of the time on a normal weekend out there my patriot dune ported 350 w/ t5s and some other stuff on gas was top 15 bikes. On a holiday weekend--different story.
