Prm Skid

Banshee~

Recommended Posts

I started with the second one from the back. Got it in there and tight, then went to the next one to the front tightened down. That leaves the front one short. I actually had to drill a new hole to get the front one to mount up where it's supposed to and I haven't attaced the rear one yet. I just got done doing this earlier this evening, so I know what your saying. What a bitch. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the rear, but I believe I'm going to have to mod the bracket to fit better, it doesn't want to seem to fit up in there. I think I'm going to cut away parts of the ends to allow it to wrap around better. I run a PRM front bumper and that'll pretty much take care of holding the front one in anyway, but what a PITA!!

The felt pads I bought worked awesome also Banshee. I cut them in little strips and not one piece of the skid is touching my frame. So I'm excited about that, but I probably did just as much damage trying to put the f'er on.

Good luck!!

yea i figured out why the front ones werent going on...the deal that bends up around the frame behind the bumper was bend to much back so i bent it down and the front 3 are on....the back ones the bitch now im about to get the torch out  ...the way i figured is the lip bends down and that goes closest to the motor.where it bends down thats right next to the frame on the cluch sides hitting frame.and the little deals that go out on each side im about to cut off  ....i just ducktaped down the sides of the skids  and on the bottem side of the brackets  im about to throw the towl in for tonight

I haven't messed with it yet today. I will say, just from glancing at your pics, that it's way easier to mess with it when your bike is standing on it's ass. Flip that bitch up and you'll have better access to it yo! Well, I did anyway.
