Redlined
I was reading the thread on Jetting for the Passion 12 port stroker (Dead spot). I would love to here from some of you guys that, at the end of the thread, still did not have it fixed. Have you all gotten rid of the dead spot? Do you just live with it now? What did you end up with? I will begin this

Schizo
I tried CGL,CEH,DEH,CEG,AEG, but BEG was the ticket. I tried the needle clip in ALL positions but when I went to BEG's on the 4th clip it really came alive. It took me 9 months to finally get it dialed in and I had my doubts about Jim's motor but I can tell you this...I've ridin a 5mm and a 7mm stroker and niether one had the balls as Jim's motor does. The 12 port design is a bit tricky to get dialed in but believe me it can be done and when you do get it hold on cuzz this baby kicks ass! I got no doubts about Jimbee or his motors anymore

What pipes are you going to run? I am having a hek of a time deciding. I thought I was going to run Rockets, but know I'm thinking Shearer. I want to have as much low end power as I can get without giving anything at the top. (Good luck, I know)

locogato11283
pj34 (jim claims the pwk slides adn needles are not right and a real pain). 285908[/snapback] so jim is claiming that the pwk carbs are no good for his engine?? thats funny because no more than 5 months ago he was tellin me they worked great on his engine. i think someone needs to make up their mind. good luck with the jetting guys. i hope you can get it figured out unlike some of us that dont know how to jet. wesw
he didnt claim the wouldnt work for his engine, just the slides and needles the come with them dont work very well. claims the pj are easy to adjust, but getting it to idle is harder. i guess only time will tell. i hope you can get it figured out unlike some of us that dont know how to jet. i dont know the whole story of you two but i do remember you tried 2 different needles. i dont know but some guys are trying 6 pair, maybe thats what it will take, shit if i know. all i know is there are several guys on here with his engine and they run well. so you get all them to chime in with what elevation and what needles, jets that worked we will get it figured out Edited November 29, 2004 by wesw
