iv been rideing dirt bikes for a long time now and i think im ready for a new toy since i sold my last bike and bought a car. iv been real interested in buying a banshee iv seen them every time i rode on the weekends and just have fallen in love with the thing.so i got some cash and im looking for one it could be stock or modded but not to heavily. i went and looked at opne today and it seemed like i knew more about the bike then the owner did. bike had engine work done which bothers me a little just because this guy was an idiot. my main question is what should a i like for in a used banshee in the price of $4000 or cheaper. i know the thing should be in good running order that i know but is there little trick things all i know is to make sure air filters look somewhat clean like the bike has ben well maintained and to make sure is runs correcly and shifts fine and no major frame dmg. pretty much where i live the big thing with banshees is every rides them up and down there streets and do burnouts everyone i talked who is selling one says its never been offroad.

i kinda agree. for 4000 it better be a badass used one with a ton of aftermarket shit on it. if it were me and i was new to banshees, id buy a new one so that you can start fresh. all parts are there and you know what you got. if you buy a used one then it could be hard for you to get to know whats supposed to be and whats not supposed to be on it. i would check with NYUK on this site. hes always got really good deals on used banshees that look like they are brand new. maybe hes got one sittin around somewhere. id be leary of ones with so called engine work and stuff like that, unless you really really trust the person and know the engine builder. someone had a list one time of everything to look for on buying used banshees. maybe someone will post a link up.
