There's a guy that really knows his shit too. After he got sick, I never really heard anything about him again. I had read somewhere that he had some issue with being in the US and insurance. I hope he's still in the field back home, He does build some fast stuff.

But there is A LOT more to it than that. The amount taken off in the intake is figured mathematically, and it has to be taken from the right areas and in the right amount. It needs to be taken out proportionally in the exhaust area as well. If it's not done correctly, you've generally got what you have got, unless there wasn't much taken to begin with and then you can possible take a little more. Quite often it's the opposite, too much is taken or it's not taken proportionally and it creates the "lightswitch" powerband and causes it to be more difficult to ride or good for only top end, drag-type riding styles.

I'm no porter, I leave it up to the people who have done it with plenty of practice and who come recommended. I only have two cylinders and I don't want them screwed up.

My opinion.

Exactly. A friend of mine ported his own Blaster and now he thinks it's God-like (still completely sucks compared to a stock Banshee or even 400ex) and he wants me to let him port my Banshee. I always tell him that I want it "professionaly" done and he takes offense to it saying, "It's not that hard you know, you can do it yourself and save a lot of money." I don't care how much someone convinces me that I can do it myself, I'd want something that can't be changed back to be done by a pro.
