Ducman
For 1/2 the price of Sand Skates, I'd say Sand Stars are definitly the best bang for the buck and a very good all around sand tire. I don't think they are all that much heavier than sand skates, enough for the average rider to notice, but I'm sure they are less likely to get damaged on foriegn objects you might hit in the sand. For the best straight line traction, hills/drags, I'd go with haulers though.
racer
my brother just got his itp sand stars and they look badass. not sure how they perfrom yet. 281906 stephen is going to like them, but you shoulda got matching fronts. cause the SS fronts handle like a mother humper. FIRST BANSHEE
I liked my edges alot for all around duning, But the holeshot wasn't great. They are 20-10-10 8 paddle. i bought 20-10-8 10 paddle extermes. all around duning is good and the holeshot is great. Very happy with the extremes. Big Blue
I'm running Skat-Trak Hauler Extremes and love 'em, along with Mohawks on the front. I've never had anything but excellent service from Skat-Trak, those are some great guys to deal with. Never tried Edges but like led said, they are supposed to be a good all-around paddle...I drag some and trail ride and no complaints with the Haulers, they damn sure hook up. 281717 same here im running 20-10-10 9 paddles and i love them definetly likes to wheelie with them compared to my regular 8 paddles. super88_banshee
i've got sand stars on the front and back and i don't think that i would trade them for anything , the rears hook up better than i wanted at times, and the fronts steer as good as knobbies did in the sand, but float a hell of a lot better. just my $.
FireHead
what kind of riding and power do you have?.....I like my sandstars 281710 I rund Extreme Haulers and wouldn't run anything else. A couple of my friends have Edge's on their near stock bikes and they are fine. They hold up better than Sand Skates do when it comes to blades splitting. My duner is just a play bike with an empahasis on drag racing. I had her on the dyno yesterday and she was turning 94 rwhp.
moookie132
Thanks for everyone's 2 cents. I went with the extremes because I like to dune and jump more than drag. I had them haulers and I had to problem with them except when it came to turning. I got some 21 12 8 7 paddle. anyone know if the more paddles the better? or less? moookie132
the bike got ported to a 360 and pipes filters are the normal mods except for the carbs they are stock. this is the first quad I have owned but I have driven other quads before, mine actually scares me to hit full throttle. but then again I am a newb
Wallrat
My bike is mostly stock too and I prefer the feel of dropping a tooth on the front sprocket. If top gear scares ya then you definately won't miss having the extra mph's.
