cheex_50
I just bought my shee about a month ago. It's a '00 with lonestar a-arms, works shocks, FMF Fatty's & Power Core II's, with RAZR's. I've drag racing my stang for a couple of years now, so draggin the shee comes naturally. I've beat everything I've raced so far (Raptor, yfz 450, Quadzilla, KTM 200, CRF 250), but my buddy has a piped CR 250 that spanks my ass by about five bike lengths every time we race What can I add besides internal engine parts to keep up with him??? banshdog
Is the intake moded? air filter? Advance your timing.
cheex_50
no, stock air filter and intake. I was wondering about a boost bottle. I know mustangs like the back of my hand, but quads and 2 strokes in general are very new to me.
kenr74
If the guy on the CR can ride you don't have a chance. You may get him off the line if he can't hook up but those are fast lightweight bikes. Anything over a few hundred feet and he will be gone. Southside Motorsports
Get rid of the stock airbox and go with a set of K+N clamp on's and put on some v-force reeds. Boost bottles don't do shit in drag racing. You're better off with a stock balance tube. Also get it to hook up let some air out of your tires before you run him or get a set of tires that hook well. 23champ
Without extensive porting you ain't gonna do it. I have an 01 CR 250 and have raced it against Banshees.. They can't hang with bikes that have 25 years of technology on them (not to mention about half the weight). Modern day motocrosser = 50hp stock Banshee stock with pipes = 45hp

joshv5.0
i think i could take a cr 250, i have ridden both and it doesn't feel half as strong as my shee. when i get it back together i will have to find one but i've got a couple of mods Edited November 24, 2004 by joshv5.
