i owned a 97 cr250 with fmf sst pipes and silencers.bike ran like a rapped ape no doubt.i know it would beat my 92 she with just a milled head for 155 psi fatty pipes proflow with k&n no box.but i think my 96 rz shee will take it rocket pipes, milled head k&ns mild port job.im actually gonna get me a 97-present 250 frame and put in a older 500cc in it there 62hp stock

I don't know why people waste there time dragging bikes?I'm not wiling to give 20lbs to the other rider let alone 150+.With equally skilled riders the 250 will dominate everytime. Those 250's put out the same hp as banshees with a helluva lot less weight to drag around.Mathmatically, the banshee loses. Its hard to argue with science.

I thought I would have a hard time finding VICTIMS when I bought my CR500,but like they say, theres a sucker born every minute and most of them ride banshees + give me 150 lbs.

Theres nothing better than a guy who just won't give up,so don't discourage him Loco.If it wasn't for banshee riders and the new 450 dirtbikes,I wouldn't have had anyone to beat down. :headbang:

i wouldn 't call dragging against bikes a waste of time....all of my banshee's have always smoked bikes even cr 500's......a previous banshee that i built as a challenge i had running a mild drag/ dune port on gas, without an override trans and a set of drag pipes and carbs smoked built cr 500's all day. I just all depends on how well you motor and chassis is setup remember traction makes a huge difference in a drag outcome.....if you can get them bad enough out of the whole you can most likely win the race.

yea i had a nice 250.im thinking my rz350 will take it out of the whole and all.i need to get me a cr500 and built it up for my crazy trail riding.then drag it on the weekends and spank some shees.

so the cr250 is around 32hp and the cr500 is around 62.what kinda hp should it take from a shee to beat a stock or modded cr500 or cr250

h.p numbers really don't mean anything.Your suspension setup and traction can make or break the race.I never lost to a shee on my old 500.A few came close, but I always had enough in the tank to shake them off.The 500 makes the best torque and impressive H.p stock, but the RPM what limit the big monster, they don't like to revv much,so you really have to gear it.

You need a fairly modded shee to take out the 500,but then you have a shee that is worthless for anything else besides straight line runs. The powerband would be way too peaky .Waste of money IMO.I could trail ride ,MX,drag, hillclimb and dune all with my 500.Probably the most versatile bike I ever owned and held the title of king of the pit many weekends.Only adjustments were tires and compression/rebound dampening.

i dont see how s shee would be worthless how would it only be good for straight line runs.i think my shee will give a 500 a good run not saying i would win.and thats my trail bike not a drager.i dont see why i shouldnt be around 70hp with the rz motor.

Nightrider....it's obvious that you think what you have is the fastest thing on earth......My 350 gas banshee would smoke any 500 and i rode all types of terrain with it still and it was very rideable. As far as horsepower numbers go they mean alot along with setup....I could have my banshee setup 100% but if i only have 12 hp im not gonna do shit..... I think your case is that you haven't came up against a banshee that was truly setup well. And as far as a waste of time....if modifying a banshee is a waste of time and they are only good for straight line how come there are thousands of people that do it all over the world??? If you want to hoot about your honda find cr500.com or somthin.

No bullshitboy2000,obviously you think you have the fastest banshee on the planet.Your the one who's claiming to be the king of the hill.I'm not on here running my mouth about something I don't know about.I own 2 shees with there share of mods and I was the previous owner of a 500 and 490

I don't know what you consider "rideable",but rideable to me is not having to fan the clutch on every little run up on the trail.HP don't mean shit if your powerband is narrow as an envelope. For a 350 to make those kind of hp numbers,it would definitely be lacking in a linear torque curve.Sure,it can still climb hills, but there very hard to control with the tires spinning a million miles an hour.

Its very simple math if your capable of computing it.

CR500 power= 60-62 hp torque=48-50 weight=215lbs

Your gas 350 banshee power=74 hp torque=40-43(guess) weight=380

The CR500 makes about.288 hp per pound

Your world beater gas 350 makes about .194 hp per pound

Even if your banhee is on the light side, lets say 350 lbs you still only make .211 hp per pound.

So you see Bizkit boy,Science and a simple Mathmatic equation JUST KICKED YOUR ASS!Regardless of any other factors,Math has proven that your banshee is not a World beater...its just a beater.

A piped Cr500 can pull high 12's (12.87 best I've seen)in the 1/4 mile with a skilled rider(no extended swingarms)I've seen som modded ones on the net claiming low 12's. .Obviously thats with maximum traction.Let me know how your "trail" banshee does on the strip. My guess is around low 14's high 13's.(thats being generous)

Didn't mean to start a pissing match, but since I actually "owned"both vs just running my mouth,I thought I'd throw in my .02 cents
