BigRed350x
You local dealership can test the CDI for free. My dealership here in Laramie, WY tested my CDI. Took like 2 min to do, and they didn't charge me for it.

NYUK
plug yours into a running banshee, do any of your friends own a banshee?i have owned at least 40 banshees and have never had a bad cdi.it does happen. but it s usually the stator ,coil or a bad connection before a cdi. BenBB
CDI on my Banshee went out once too...but warwgn has a Raptor... Dustin, as far as I know the only way to test the CDI 100% sure is to swap in a known working one. When mine went out I got a Dyna becuase it was alot cheaper than OEM, but that may not be the case anymore. Have you tested everything else? What happened on the spark plug cap, try a new one yet?? Unless you've ruled out everything else it could be something as simple as wires grounding against the frame or each other (Chris mentioned you had some wire trouble), I'd make sure it wasn't something else before getting a new CDI...
