Oilsmoke
AS Anybody ran Mikuni TMX 35mm Carbs on the Shee. If you have what do you think of them. was jetting a pain or easy did you like the way they works? Problems? Pro's And Cons all welcome? I am thinking about my letter to Santa and i am torn between them & the Vm series Proflows that are bored 34mm to 35.2 in the right & left set. either set will work well with my 35mm intake manifolds. fixitrod
Why not the 35mm pwk airstryker. I think they have a little acceleration pump for instant throttle response.

SDD
Why not the 35mm pwk airstryker. I think they have a little acceleration pump for instant throttle response. No pump in there... just two little winglets that direct airflow over the main jet. They are also "quad vented" meaning 4 vents instead of the typical two. It's supposed to help from bogging after landing jumps and the vent lines plug up with fuel.

Nightrider
everyone seems to like the pwks.from what I have compiled, mikunis are a bit harder to jet than the Kehins.I've heard more grips about jetting mikunis than keihns. It could be the carbs or it could be the installers error.I had a set of TM28's and couldn't get them right. The mid was always too rich.I sold them for a set of 28pwks and had them jetted and running on a saturday. I am also a fan of mikuni, but I'm not a fan of tearing the carb off over and over again.I always had Kehins on my dirtbikes and they performed flawlessly.I suppose with some patience, the mikuni would too.On the other hand I always had good luck with the VM series. Oilsmoke
Well like i said Proflow sells a left & right set of Vm.s 34mm bored to 35.2 for 259.98 Which matches up good with my 35mm intakes. I like the left & right idea. they are shorter carb too. If i was to add UFO's they claim better flow that a Tm series too. This setup would cost little more than the TMX but would look more sleeper too. On The other hand TMX is a Smooth bore in desgin and would flow better in the Hi rpm range and the are better siuted for big hard whoops which my shee see alot of at the bottom of Thunder. Choices :)That was why i am looking for some input.
