hemimike
I was trying to find the reason for my overheating and figured out that the pin that goes through the shaft of the water pump has torn up the drive gear. Is this a common problem with the banshee ? I'm still wondering why it happned?
Hubie000
the same thing happend on mine. I had to replace that white gear. I also added a billet impellar. They say they cool much better and its not plastic so it will never break or melt. I got a new gear from the dealer for about $10. It fixed my overheating. Not sure why it happens. BdBanshee
I know two other people that have had the same thing happen. I ordered them new gears, and made a thicker washer to take up the extra slack between the pin and the e-clip. Neither have had any other problems since.
