Motoworld of El Cajon

I blew out my tranny a while ago. Nothing to hard to fix. Took it down to Motoworld to make sure everything was ok. I decided that I would put the block back together. Well needless to say, I am a moron. I fucked up one of the seals. So I took the banshee down to Motoworld. I told them that I needed it finished by the 22nd, for the desert trip. They said, no problem (mind you I told them everythign that was wrong with it.) After a week and a half of sitting in their back lot, they finally ran diags on it. They told me that they needed to split the case. So I ok'd the work. So I called back yesterday to find out how everything is going and to see if the banshee still will be ready. They neglected to tell me that they would need a thousand dollar deposit before any case work could be done. I was pissed. I went down there to talk to the mechanic. He told me that I needed a new tranny (without even opening the case). When I told them that they rebuilt it he laughed and said, yeah ok. I showed the receipt. Then I asked if he even ran a leak down test to see what seal went out. The idiot told me "you can not run a leakdown test on a banshee". After laughing I grabbed the Clymers out of my truck and asked him why the Clymers manual said you can. I gave the deposit so the case could be split. I called them today to find out how everything was going. Come to find out both seals were bad and there was nothing wrong with the tranny. No big deal. Thats what I was expecting. Than he told me the new ones will not be in till Monday. So thanks to those assholes I have nothing to ride on our desert trip. So if you need any work done on your bike and you are from San Diego..... do not go there. It has now taken them 3 weeks to fix something that should only take a day tops.:shootself:banghead

As the drama keeps going. I called today to see how the case teardown was going. They told me the mechanic is working on another bike. And he will get back to mine as soon as possible. Now the trip is tomorrow and I have nothing to take except for disappointment. Thank you very much Motoworld.

I absolutely hate that shop. The half wits that work there don't know crap. I know people have some crap to say about Alba but every case has been someone ordering something from out of state and they want it the next day. If you walk into Alba I have always been treated well and when I needed some cylinders bored/honed and I needed them the next day, they got the job done on time. I have split my share of Banshee cases and if you have any questions send me an email. Make sure Motoblunder of EC doesn't charge you more than 8 hours of labor. It doesn't take more than that much time to take the motor out and fix the problem and put it back in.

Well it is now Tuesday and the case has just got split today. The assholes have been lying to me the entire time. I have already called the better buisness breau. So hopefully something good will come of that. I went down there and saw it for myself. They still have not put my new tires on. As far as I remember, its not that hard to change tires. They are so used to me going in there that the dumbass mechanic walked over to my bike and started splitting the case right in front of me.

Here is where the story gets funny. I have a friend that just started working there. She was talking to the mechanics about my bike. They told her the same lies they told me. Also they told her that the "Big Boss" said that a whole bunch of 05's came in and they wanted them showroom floor ready. So thats the mechanics top priorities. Is it just me, or dont the bikes and quads come off the trailer showroom floor ready?? So its been almost a month now and the case has finally been split. Still have not got a call from them for what parts are needed. :flush:

Yeah When I was in SD i would never have work done there.

I always took my stuff up to a little shop in Lakeside. Cant

remember the name of the place but its right on the main drag

pretty reasonable labor, and usually got my stuff back in a day or

two.

Well its now Friday. Thank god I am at work right now and I can not go to Glamis this weekend. Or else I would be pissed. Somehow the better buisness breau called Motoworld on Thursday. So my banshee is finally apart and the parts are on order. They will be in on Monday and I was guarenteed the Banshee back on Monday evening or Tuesday morning. So all it took was a month and a half and a little call to the better buisness breau. f*ck MOTOWORLD!!!!! Only good thing is I talked to the service manager and I should be getting a nice rebate cause of how much they slacked off.

  • 2 weeks later...

So here we are over a month later. The new parts finally got put in. The got it all back together. Now they are telling me that the tranny was not fixed right, so they are going to have to do it again. And the best part, they want me to pay for the labor on that also. Oh and it does get better. They will not test the operational ability of the banshee because I have a lightened flywheel. "Its a safety concern". The better buisness breau has been called again. So we will see how everything works out. It has been 2 months now and they still have not taken care of shit. Oh and they sold the new tires that I ordered. Again, don't ever go to Motoworld of El Cajon.

Man if they want you to pay for that shit again i would tell them to fuck themselves and set the place ablaze. Do it yourself it will be done in a few nights, and a lot less money. If you're worried about not being able to do it ask questions here or someone on here can help you.

Well the parts are in already..... I was shocked. But now it will not be done titll Monday. Or so I am told. I am guessing that it will be done by next season. Oh and the better buisness breau has got back with me. Apparently there are alot of problems with that place. I would like to take care of the problem myself, but I just do not have the time to do all that stuff. I already tried 4 times. I did not know the tranny was as bad as it was.

Well I called them today and they told me that it was done. So I got off work early and got down there to pick it up. Something looked wrong when I walked past the banshee. The engine was still not in it. Looking closer, the tires have not been changed yet. Also the throttle cable has not been changed. Here is their explination. The shift drum has a tiny ass nick in it. I am talking something that will take a second of a dremel touch in it to fix. So in closing that god damn thing is in the exact same condition as it was 2 months ago. banghead

what the fuck?

Becareful. If they are that type of shop, I would not put it past them to fuck something up in retaliation to you complaining about their fucked up service. Sounds like the hire morons or maybe bums off the street to work in the shop. I would go over that thing with a fine tooth come before you even put it in your truck, and if you can, while they are busy working on it, go clean out their store front. I take a large Fox glove. Black/Grey if they got em.OOOO and some new Scotts. Black with the silicone on the band. Light tint, as I get motion sick at the dunes if they are very dark.

Hey man if you want to be done with it go pick it up and drop it off at my place on a Saturday morning. Come back on Sunday and it will be ready to go. You would have been ready to go at the start of this season if you didn't take it to those dumb schmucks.
