jeffro189
use yz 426 clutch springs. when my clutch first started slipping i used these and the worked for about 6 months until my clutch totally roached . then i bought racing clutch basket, and friction & steel plates. still using the yz springs. also the clutch lever will be alot stiffer after you put the springs in. fixitrod
I read a post about clutchs on planet sand. The fzr600 plates are what they recommend if you are not running the lockup. Here's what was posted... "i thing this is the part number 4h7-16321-02, they come 1 per pkg bout 8.95 ea, i run them in hinson basket also " edit and this FZR 600- 4h716321-02-00 This is what Alba shows as the part #.They are $5.50 each. fixitrod
I'm reading people are also running fzr1000 fibers, barnett springs and stock steels.
fixitrod
Okay, I went to ronnies and looked up the fibers. The fzr1000 has 3 different fibers in their setup. The fzr600 has only one type of fiber for $5.15 each.

Wicked98Shee
fixitrod, do ya think the fzr1000 fibers will work with the barnett steels and springs?
98bonerSTOCKshee
i picked up a barnett kit.a friend thinks mebe clutch wasnt set up properly whenit was done last. whats up with the adjustment in the center of the clutch? that adjustment is there to help take slack out of the cable. After the plates and springs are on and tightened up I make sure my cable adjustment at the handbar is turned in.. Then down on the adjuster at the clutch, you back off the lock nut and just screw the phillips head in until you feel it snug up...
fixitrod
fixitrod, do ya think the fzr1000 fibers will work with the barnett steels and springs? I'm sure they would.
fixitrod
Okay, I did some research on the clutch plates. The fzr600 and 1000 have the exact same part number as the stock banshee fibers Go figure. There are about 30 machines that use the same fibers. Even the barnett part numbers are the same.
