slowpokebanshee
hey I have done a search, and can't find any info on set-up for suspension sag, any one help me out? I have works dual rates on the front that seem to work real well, but I can't seem to get the rear shock to work like I want...I think mostly it's a pre-load thing, so if I se-up my sag, properly, then I can make adjustments rebound/compression. or should I just send it in to works, tcs, axis, etc. to be revalved/sprung for my weight... I am #195, and do mostly dunes, some desert riding, rarely jump, higher than a couple feet. the bike is an 04, so the shock should be in pretty good shape, less than 20 hours.... thanks for any advice. DUNEDEMON
With your weight the stock rear shock is under-sprung, you will have a hard time getting it to work / feel how you want with out a re-valve / re-spring. Call Todd @ TCS (909) 245-7484, he'll get you taken care of.

slowpokebanshee
I appreciate the advise on where to get work done etc. but does anyone know how to properly adjust for sag? when I do get a new spring/re-valve, or will it just be ready to bolt on when I get it back.... DUNEDEMON
I like to think more in terms of ride height as opposed to sag on a quad. I set ride height with the rider on the bike, full gear, tank full of fuel. MX guys and dirt bike guys like to set sag, for them it's more critical. Personally I like my bike to sit level when I'm on it, not too concerned about setting sag at 30% of the compression travel, cause I'm going to use it all anyhow. racer
does TCS make its own brand of shock?
fixitrod
I've heard a lot of mx guy that like the quad level about 7-8 inches from the ground. Sag isn't a quad thing really.
DUNEDEMON
does TCS make its own brand of shock? Yes, complete new units front and rear, or re-valved OE rear.
