suspension sag

Recommended Posts

hey I have done a search, and can't find any info on set-up for suspension sag, any one help me out?

I have works dual rates on the front that seem to work real well, but I can't seem to get the rear shock to work like I want...I think mostly it's a pre-load thing, so if I se-up my sag, properly, then I can make adjustments rebound/compression. or should I just send it in to works, tcs, axis, etc. to be revalved/sprung for my weight...

I am #195, and do mostly dunes, some desert riding, rarely jump, higher than a couple feet. the bike is an 04, so the shock should be in pretty good shape, less than 20 hours....

thanks for any advice.

Why do you think you deserve a cut?

Nah, Todd just does good work, uses good springs, and is a nice guy with a small operation. Just tryin' to help a guy out.

I like to think more in terms of ride height as opposed to sag on a quad. I set ride height with the rider on the bike, full gear, tank full of fuel. MX guys and dirt bike guys like to set sag, for them it's more critical. Personally I like my bike to sit level when I'm on it, not too concerned about setting sag at 30% of the compression travel, cause I'm going to use it all anyhow.
