01bansheeke
Need to figure this out. I moved the needle down to lean it out in the middle. All of the sudden it idles high(er than normal)..ok no huge deal. Than earlier, i took the mains out to install bigger mains. I get it all done and fire it up...and it revs to the friggen moon. I looked at the slide and the left side(shift side) is slightly higher than the other..could this be it? Is it possilbe the something is in the slide keeping it from going all of the way down or what? THis is drivin me nuts and the bhq little sahara trip is only a week away. Gotta get this done. thanks in advance for the help.
racer
make sure your slides are in correctly, cutouts towards the rear axle.
Toomey Banshee
check for an air leak somewhere as well.
bigboybanshee
I had the same problem and I had forgot to put the choke tube back in between the carbs...
rasta
or the cable could be hung up somewhere. if the left carb slide is higher than the left than that will cause it to idle fast though, so adjust that cable so the slide bottoms out
