I know they are having problems with there zylon. I was thinking a level IIIA vest with a T-15 titanium shock plate. ANy info will help. Your seriously not thinking of wearing that vest for routine duty, are you. A level II is plenty of protection for patrolman and is cost effective. I wear a II for everyday use and a III for tactical entries. You do know there are grants for vests, right? I would recommend a Protective Products International ArmorLite LFT level II vest.
