what member sells the case savers?

I bought a case saver off a member of the site a while ago for my old shee and he sold them at a good price to us other members. but I dont remember who it was and Id like to get another one if I could for my new shee...

Here is the info, I bought a few from him also. Tell him you are from the BHQ and he'll ship them for free.

You get one so if your chain breaks it protects the case from getting cracked by the chain whipping around and smacking it...All you have to do to put it on is remove the flywheel cover and put the case saver in place, 3 bolts and it's done...If you don't have one and your chain breaks you'll be wishing you spent the 20 bucks on one!!

Can someone give me some info on case savers?  It sounds like something that would be worth the cost. 

 

But what purpose do they serve?  In what situations do you need one?  Installation?

Mounts behind the counter shaft sprocket, protects the alloy cases from damage in event of chain snapping or coming off the sprocket.
