I did it...

Recommended Posts

Ok I went down past houston today and bought me a almost brand new 99 blue banshee... I payed 3100 for it and it is all stock and fast enough for me right now.

I am fairly new at riding things that fast , so I will have to get used to it first b4 I start to buy any aftermarket parts. The place I bought it from replaced the spark plugs, and told me it has been sitting for ever so the gas is prolly old, because it still has the first tank of gas in it. It bogs a lil on take off because of the gas in it.

Its been raining all day so I really havent got to top it out because when I need to stop I jus slide around and I dont wanna act stupid on it, in the rain the first day. But after 30 minutes of loading it off the truck , it was completly muddy. these things are a blast, I jus thought I would share. :cheers::headbang:

WOW MAN!! congrats!! that is a beauity. hardly a single scratch. why would anyone buy one and put it in the garrage :wacko:

it is a beauityful machine. I love that blue, especially as shinny and nice as that one is. you got a good buy. you can tell its never been abused or there would be scratches like hell and stress marks all over

since its a rainy day I would recommend that you:

1 drain that gas and mix up some fresh. running old gas through a 2 stroke is never a good idea

2 buy youself a clymer manual and have it so you have all the information you need

3 sinc the carbs. make sure the slides are opening equally, air screws are equal, and if you have the know how (without the clymer (unless you allready have one)) take the carbs off, dissasemble, and clean everything to make sure there isnt any corrosion or gum in them. when I bought im 01 it had been sitting for a year and a half and the carbs were full of gum and all outa sinc. making these adjustments will make it run SO much better...

4 grease everything and go all through it to get to know it better. make sure all the frame and fender bolts are tight. (all you need to tighten all the bolts in a banshee is a 8mm 10mm 12mm 14mm 17mm and a phillups head, you can do most of it with just the 10, the 12 and the phillups)

:headbang::clap::bolt::cheers::dance:

GOOD LUCK youll love it.

and dont start moding it unless you never plan on stoping cause its very very addicting!!!
