Recommended Posts

Im thinking about rebuilding my banshee. Its a 91 stock besides reeds. I was wondering what route to go. I dont ride as much as i used to so i want to do it as inexpensive as possible but not cheap out on anthing. any suggestions for what to go with pipes, igniton, pistons, clutch? do i have to redo the bottom end?

thanks for the help! :headbang:

k&n air filter, and some pipes, most likely some fatty's. They are a real good inexpensive pipe. the only time to get a top end rebuild is if you really need it. if everything is fine then u dont have to buy anything. clutch u dont have to worry about until your puttin out some real hp's.

the links below are all u need for a simple upgrade.

if thats too much for ya, hit up ebay , or u can find some stuff for sale right here in the HQ.

what about T5's? I hear that those are the best pipe for a stock shee?

There is NO BEST PIPE for the shee or any two stroke! That's the first lesson in two strokes. Figure out where and how you ride, then get back to us.

If you're gonna put on a cool head and some pipes, might as well do the top end. Throw in some Weisco pro-lite pistons, go with a noss head with 20cc domes, pro design filter plate with your choice of foam or K and N or the Toomey 2 into 1 filter, send your flywheel to boonman to get it lightned and buy an adjustable timing plate from RIcky Stator. For the dunes you cant go wrong with T-5's or CPI's. If and when I do it over again, I am gonna just go with CPI's and be done with it.

Prices should be something like this

1. Piston kit 220 bux

2. bore job 120 bux (60 per jug)

3. cool head and domes 300 bux?

4. filter 100 bux

5. pipes 600 bux

6. lightned flywheel 40 bux?

7. timing plate 35 bux

That total about 1400 bucks. Not too bad.
