ledofthezep
I'm not a Nascar fan in the least but I can see where he should get fined because even though we all swear we don't need every other word on tv to be a swear word, slippery slope. I'd rather hear someone say shit than bitch...but no one gives a hoot when damn, ass, bitch, slut, coochie, snatch, douschebag, slut... is used on network TV. wonder who'd be hurting worse? One of the biggest names in Nascar or Nascar itself. Good question.
03LE
I think NASCAR is just growing to large and tryin to keep everyone happy. I am a 40 fan and enjoy watching NASCAR anytime I can. Unfortunatluy there are people out there that are getting into NASCAR for all the wrong reasons and that know nothing about NASCARs history. The first televised NASCAR race ended in a fist fight, almost every race at Bristol there will be someone cussing before its all said and done and everytime someone gets fined. NASCAR is doing what they think is right for now. They always do, they always change the rules and makeup new ones when they need them. They docked Mark Martin last year and no one cared, I think it's funny now that NASCAR's "golden child, poster boy, money maker" is being fined it's a big friggin deal. I'm not saying I don't like Jr, just that he needs to be treated equal to other drivers and I think NASCAR has done that this time. PS anyone going to the race in KC? I am sitting in row 9 straight across from the pit exit
crazyfzr1
Screw Nascar and all there new friggen rules. I can't even figure out their point system anymore! I can understand fining him but taking 25 points???!!!?? Besides Sunday is riding day, not sitting at home day
racer
Now is that worth losing 25pts & 10g's? like he could give a shit about 10 grand. that team has back-up tool boxes worth more than that. its the 25 pts he is concerned about. plus how does the word shit mean anything to a bunch of loud screaming nascar fans. like thats the first time they have heard that word. bird213
For the record... Mark Martin used a spring not allowed by NASCAR so points should be deducted because it happend during the race. Shit, Robbie Gordon's dumb ass wrecked someone @ 100+ MPH and didn't get docked points. He does that weekly though, so that is par for the course. I can understand the fine bs, but taking away points is a crock of shit. Losing a championship over something you wash a little kids mouth out with soap over is a bit overboard. Nightrider
Rules are rules, look at every other aspects of media today, all of them are feeling it from the Janet Jackson incident.Television and radio is getting hammered with fines. I find it funny how everyone is concerned with Dale Jrs slip and its caused a huge uprising in Nascar,Where was all of this Media hype when Hornaday and Sauter were hit?Nobody gave 2 shits then. Now that one of the golden boys get popped, everyone is crying bloody murder. You can thank Micheal Powell, who sits atop of the FCC.Yea,Mike Powell, related to Colin Powell who in turn sits at the right hand of Bush.Shit has a tendency to roll down hill doesn't it? I think this country is losing its fucking mind.We have bigger problems to worry about then someone saying "shit" on national television or "f*ck" in the lyrics of a song.We have bigger issues that need to be taken care of right now, unfortunately our leaders are having a problem in deciding the order of importance.Certain "bills" and "amendments"are being overlooked so our kids and easily offended people don't have to hear the word "shit" If I was Dale jr,I would cough up 100,000 right in front of a TV camera and say F**k the F**KING FCC and all pussy, shitbags who work there. rjvoight
It is not just NASCAR that is falling prey to the "lets hold hands" mentality. Early in last years supercross season, Windham and Vullimen bump into eachother once, next corner Windham holds his line and Vullimen gets pushed of the track because he refuesed to let off, boom point deduction and a fine! What ever happened to good old racing? RJV
