Im a mechanic at Marc Heitz in Norman, OK and we are pretty well dead right now but this rich guy brought in his new H2 Hummer and we put free flowing exhaust on it. (Headers, new cat and free flow muffler.) Now, this same guy dropped off his new Dodge Viper SRT/10 and wants us to do the same thing! I cant believe the money people have! (and the money i dont have.) Anyway, we have put superchargers, gears, etc. on Avalanches, etc. Makes for an interesting ride. Fix some of them, and when it's beyond my fixing I harass the technicians in 5 different regions to fix it...and of course, I have the joy of being able to surf some of the net and and the HQ When Regions took over UP they implemented this new server named "RTSurf" (Surf Control)....because of that now my internet surfing has been extremely limited...One thing that kills me is I can shop all day on ebay at work but can't check my hotmail account Hey Led, what kind of schooling did you go through to get that job? We cater to people who buy undeveloped acreage. We come in, build roads, a new home, horse barn/cattle barn if they want it, some want a riding arena, put in fencing and do the whole deal from start to finish. Not very many will do that and we're pretty good at it. And, we have a lot of experience with horses and cattle, where most in our industry don't know squat about livestock, so we can help "guide" the customer. Where we live, there are more horse people, horse trainers and just everything horse per square mile than anywhere else in the entire world. People come from all over the world to buy horses here, because this is horse-central. 75% of our business is to these people. Here's a project we built a few years ago. We built this "main" house on 200 acres, built a 42 stall barn, 2 employee houses, a manager's house, a workshop, a 120'x200' covered arena, a 50' covered roundpen and put in 5,000 feet of fencing and corrals. Only the printers that don't know what they're doing...or AFTER a design is finalized, they then tell you what can/can't be used. So in that sense, yes...f*ck printers! sredish...pimp'n man. House = $150k Employee Houses - $60k each Workshop = $40k Fencing = $40k+ Roundpen = $35k Roadwork = $40k +/- Horse Barn $160k Entryway for ranch = $25k Entryway for main house = $30k And lots of little bullshit like landscaping, drainage work, cleanup, etc. Let me just add, this "main" house is the owner's, who is 34 years old, weekend house he visits with his kids on the weekends and occasionaly has parties and entertains. I'm a graphic designer/illustrator/web developer/marketing genius, and all around ruler of the world...err i mean, yea i run a start-up new media marketing group. days like today are especially fun, when for some mystery reason, i have no internet connection (except about 30mins collectively throughout the day), a million phone calls to make, and NO peanut M&Ms in sight. luckily i have my connection back, and M&Ms on the way. so far this industry has been a lot of fun, and ive been fortunate to be able to learn a lot on the way. right now im learning Cinema 4D for work on a video game. i get to make realistic furniture and other room accessories NYUK, i didnt know you worked for a printer. so far i havent dealt directly with any printers, every print job ive done, the client already had a working relationship with their own printer. id like to have a nice relationship with a printer for any future print work i do. and sredish, NICE WORK. gorgeous house babe. hey LED, and all you other graphic designers out there, im starting a forum just for you guys. a nice place to go and have access to professionals in the field for advice, but also to peers and tutorials etc etc. so if you guys have any specific info, or features that youd like, let me know. im sick of having to search all over hell and back for help with various programs, and multimedia, so i said f*ck it, ill just start my own. so far i have industry professionals in fields from flash pros and a cartoonist, to profesional video editors.
