Mr.Giggles Posted October 1, 2004 Report Share Posted October 1, 2004 I heard of this being done on a snowmobile engine and tried it, why not on a Banshee. If you look inside your carb slide(cut out end)there is a fairly deep resest area which causes air to get trapped in there or swirling around and restricts the air flow into the carb,what they have done is filled in the resest area with a plastic insert to keep the airflow from being restricted ,you could also grind out the cut out of the slide more ,you were given different plastic inserts to match the cut out of your choice. On the 670 rotax engine I did this on there was a major increase in throttle response and the main jet had to be increased. I think I have some of the plastic inserts that were not used kicking around if anyone is interested I could post some pics of them. Let me know your thoughts.
