justinklumb29 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I am looking at getting a 421 cheetah top end with powervalves and a 4 mm crank that comes with it, Just wondering if any one has got it, how they like it, is it reliable, and what kind of hp can it make THanks Justin Quote
Meat_Head Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Great set up one of my favorites so far, does everything extremely well and is very reliable, if you have the money for one go for it you wont be disappointed. Will put out low 80s HP on gas and according to a few guys on Planetsand around 110HP in a drag alky configuration. 01bansheeke Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 what about on race gas? can you near 100? Quote
justinklumb29 Posted October 1, 2004 Author Report Posted October 1, 2004 is this a good set up for trail riding, how does the power come on, is it smooth, or just all top end. THanks Justin Quote
01bansheeke Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 the cheetah powered shee i rode at the dunes had power everywhere. It would easily pull through any gear no questions asked. It had power everywhere. of course it screamed up top. But i think even with that much more power than my shee..it was more rideable because of the porting on my shee. Quote

FlatTrackinIt55 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 i dont think race gas will make a differance in h.p. numbers Quote
racer Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 i dont think race gas will make a differance in h.p. numbers race gas is shown in torque. cause with RG you can run more compression and we all know compression leads to torque. Quote
justinklumb29 Posted October 2, 2004 Author Report Posted October 2, 2004 With this set up what type of carbs and pipes are best to run, is it possible to run the stock carbs? Quote
Big Blue Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 stock carbs nay work but i dont think they would be enough, 33,34,35mm carbs would probably be needed if i ever have enough extra $$ that is what i would like to have. Quote
Meat_Head Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 33,34,35mm carbs would probably be needed Bigblue is right no smaller than 33mm and preferably 35mm carbs for this set up, as for the pipes CPI or Shearer inframes, maybe Rockets would work well but I dont know much about them. Quote
23champ Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 So whats the difference between the 421 and the 485? They are about the same price aren't they? How much more hp does the 485 have than the 421? Quote
Meat_Head Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Very few people seem to be running the 485 set up so Id have to say the HP gain has to be very minimal if any... Quote
German Shepherd Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 How much is a 421 cheetah? Whats there web site? I would run rocket pipes on there and trinity carbs. Quote
