racer
at my new job we have a snap-on and mac rep that come by weekly. they are ALWAYS willing to finance me but damn, 15 minutes in one of those trucks would cost me a fortune. so im kinda wondering what you all use. nater006
almost anything that doesnt have china or taiwan on it Hehe.. thats funny. My brother-in-law is in the military. One night we were doing the brakes on his car out in my sis's driveway. He had bought this "quick release" c-clamp at Autozone.. made in China. Anyway the quick release part was totally hosed up and the clamp was useless.. hadn't even used it, just took it out of the package. We weren't happy. He was cussing and swearing about it for quite a while. Yeah, we use 'em to compress brake calipers.. My sis and I drove out to Meijer and bought a normal one (made in the U.S.A.) and it worked great, at like half the price. I just use Craftsman stuff personally, due to not having to work on stuff daily. If something breaks, chances are it is no big deal to go without it for a few days till being in the neighborhood of a Sears store. Otherwise its a whopping 15 min drive there from here The tools hold up well though, and just are nice overall. sredish
Snap-On box and a Craftsman box. I like Matco and Snap-On tools, but not too proud to buy Craftsman either.
dnhyoung
I'm not a mechanic, but being an electrician, I do plenty of wrenching on other things, and I prefer Carftsman. Not as spendy as some of the other brands, and they hold up just as good in my opinion. Again just my $.
Meat
anything that doesnt have china or taiwan on it hell yea bigwill I use SK at my job and I use a set of SK sae sockets at home, but the majority of my tools are Craftsman. The SK ratchets are really nice. Mostly Husky(from Home Depot) My buddy was recommending Husky to me just the other day, Iv never heard of em before then. We were talkin about cordless drills and he said he bought this Husky at the Home Depot and said that he like it better than his Dewalt and portercable. Indubitably
Craftsman, I still end up breaking whatever I use even if its snap on or mac, so I go with the cheaper stuff
stclark04
most of our stuff is craftsman. i worked at sears for 2 1/2 years back in the day so i would get a good discount on tools. if anything ever breaks, or gets striped, they take it back. hell, i had a guy come in one time with some really old craftsman wrenches, nothing really wrong with them, and he swapped them out for brand new ones. cant beat that!
