Reeds

Recommended Posts

I had a 2001 blaster which I modified and one mod was AKtive reeds from Trenga racing. They seemed to make a difference but I really coudn't tell being the fact that I installed a 28mm carb, reed spacer, and reeds all at the same time. Now I have a 2003 banshee and I have fmf sst's waiting to be installed along with k&n air filter, and new sprocket set with front being 15 tooth. Are reeds worth my money or should I get the stock reed cages ported or if they are worth it then which brand? Thanks and sorry for lengthy post.

Thanks and sorry for lengthy post.

no need for apologies, ive written a novel on here before.

i run delta v-force 2's. possibly the best reeds on the market though they arent cheap. try getting your factory cages ported and get some carbon reeds that fit those cages. thats what id do. ;)

Yep, porting the stockers with some TDR reeds is a good way to go, but if porting them is a little to hard to deal with then you might just get some VForce reeds, they are about as good as you can get, a little pricier but worth it, and they're easy to install. I run VForce reeds.
