Trbl with stator

Just wanted to let everyone know that just because a stator test good with a volt meter doesn't mean it is.

I broke down at silverfest. My stator did read bad at first but I found a crack and fixed it. It then rode and it died again. Brought it back to the truck, tested the stator and it was good.............. so I thought.

Mrmatt told me he had stators test good before and they were bad. He was dead on. I bought a ricky stator stator. It has an adjustable timing plate with it for only $125. Can't beat that.

Just fyi so people don't chase their tales when diagnosing the electrical system... Well, I guess if it test good you may still chase your tale.
