Bongshee
Hey, I am just finishing off my engine as I recently blew up my piston. Everything else was fine excpept my Carbs were stolen. So now im stuck with having to get new ones. My motor is totally stock. All i plan on doing for the rebuild is get My buddy who works in a moto-x garage is going to clean up my cylinders and my exhaust ports. We also plan on cleaning up the domes on my head. Now for my problem.....Do i change to a bigger aftermarket carb or stick with a stock set?.....and if i do get stock ones is a set of Vforce reeds and cages a good upgrade? 2002 Banshee FMF gnarleys K&N filter kit
racer
thats quite a predicament. id get a trinity 2-1 carb if i were you. not gonna lose any bottem end and will probably gain some top. also way easy to jet and no more carb sync'in. id get the 35mm also. that way you have room to expand. sredish
dyno charts have proven that the stock carbs produce the best numbers through a moderately ported motor. so, unless your looking for more bottom end and want to buy a single carb setup, get the reeds. single carb setup is very nice, i run one and they will give you much more low end and more top end to boot over the stock carbs, reeds are always nice, but they won't give you as much benefit as the single carb, you could always get the single carb and new reed petals.
