nater006
If you run a search in here you'll find a bunch of different options. Lucas Gear Oil will work fine. I use ATF Type F.. just have to change it every few rides. Some use 10W40.. someone even mentioned using hydraulic oil, recently.
BitchenBanshee
whatever you use, you want to make sure that it is "Non Friction Modified". If you look at the back of the QT it will say if it has friction modifiers or not. Friction modifiers lessen the amount of grab in the clutch and make it slip. ATF Type F you don't have to worry about. Most of the car engine oils have Friciton Modifiers. I think Castrol GTX (in either 10-40 or 10-30 one of them is FM free) is one without FM's. I've used just about everything besides the expensive bike shop oil's. ATF runs great and shift's easy, but it likes to leak if you have poor seals. I usually now sitck with car grade 10W30 or equivelant.... never had any prob's!

MotulMonsta
I'm thinkin Lucas oil stabilizer is a bit too thick to run in a wet type clutch...might cause it to slip. I've never heard of anyone running it so I don't know what it will do. It does have real thick viscosity and feels like assembly lube..kinda tacky..I'm thinkin it will form a film around the plates causing them to slip..you don't want that. My tranny is from 1987 and it still going strong..a little worn..but that is to be expected. I've used nothing but budget grade cheepo oil for the last upteen years in it and it's held up to my abuse fine..and I do abuse my tranny and cluch...So, I would advise against paying more then 2 bones a quart for any oil you throw in there..just make shure it's not synthetic.
