BB3 Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 im boreing my shee to 80 over who's pistons r the best to put in? Iheard vito's but then i heard weisco are good as well. What do ypu all think? Quote
pimpeinkc Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 pistons are over rated, just find you a few sand bunnys to push you around. i have had mixed reviews, the wiescos seem to be long lasting, and the vito's seem like a more perfomance piston. i don't know if your porting would matter which piston to buy. locogato11283 Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 if im not mistaken wiseco makes the vitos pistons. i would run wisecos. Quote
pimpeinkc Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 you are correct, loco. vito's are made by weisco with vito's specs. but would the performance changes in the vito's work with ported engines, this site said the super stokes are great if you don't want to port and polish. http://www.atvsource.com/articles/product_...ock_pistons.htm just wondering if you should use different pistons when you start doing the hard core machining and mods Quote
pimpeinkc Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 what???? no one out there has any input on pistons. what no one who visits this site has ever modified there engin. never had to rebuild the top end. i am shocked that with the weath of knowlage running through this web sight, bbIII can get no answers. i was also hoping to hear some thing for when the time comes for my next rebuild. i know i always try and share, so could you all take the time and give a little input here. i know it will be appreciated by all who read it. thank you in advance. bansheewizard Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 the vitos make there own piston using the wiseco core. the vitos are smaller they will work with the stroker, the poet window are larger and something on top it lips down a lil so the exhaust get out a lil fast, that what im running in my she they are the super stock pistons, and the rings on the vitos are larger. i guess for more strenght ? i d k my self Quote
BB3 Posted September 15, 2004 Author Report Posted September 15, 2004 (edited) All right you all thanks for the in put the shee will be alive again to spank (pimpeinkc) again! Edited September 15, 2004 by BBIII Quote
pimpeinkc Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 the only spankin you'll be doin involves your monkey. Quote
fixitrod Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Might as well stay with good ol wisecos. That's all I run. Quote
Nightrider Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Wiseco only makes Vito's forged pistons.Wiseco does not make cast pistons for anybody because Wiseco does not make cast pistons period.I'm not sure who makes their cast pistons, but they see to be a good quality piston. I'm not sure if Wiseco actually finishes the Vitos piston,or if Vito's just buys a pre-forged piece and machines it themselves. Either way your getting a Wiseco if your buying a forged piece, personally,I would rather buy it from Vito's since they specialize in the banshee. Quote
BB3 Posted September 21, 2004 Author Report Posted September 21, 2004 (edited) well i already ordered weisco pistons though thanks any way and pimpe and my self are just clowning around and i dont have a monkey any ways! Edited September 21, 2004 by BBIII Quote
