sredish
I know this has been discussed. I'd probably tell someone else posting this to search, but as you all know, I'm special. I'm running Lonestars tie rods and I sheared a tie rod end this weekend at the XC race. I want something stronger. The LSRs take a stock rod end, so the Tusk should fit right in as well, correct? Any experience with strength, any alternatives? BTW, I did search, but not much there.
racer
what about callin up jegs and seein if that got somethin HD but with the same thread type? if not what about a heim conversion if its possible.
BdBanshee
I think the Tusk tie rods are built just like the Ricky Stator ones, with a solid tie rod that threads into the tie rod end. Here is a pic from Ricky Stator's site: I have the Ricky Stator tie rods and they are much beefier than stock. I used to bend the stock ends all the time, no problems now. sredish
Yeah, I was thinking of just ordering all new tie rods and ends, like the Tusks.
sredish
What do you guys think of these ASRs with the lifetime warranty?? I think they'd look better with my LSR arms. banshee370
Stay away from ASR....... That guy is one of THE biggest crooks....... I cant tell you how many people got screwed when he closed Last Rebel Racing and re-opened American Star Racing a week later in the same building. I helped many people get their shocks back because he was having TCS do all of his shocks way back when.... Todd (TCS) wouldnt ship the shocks because that d*ckhead owed him big coin. If you notice how similar ASR is to LSR...... He almost put LSR out of business when he pulled that stunt. If I remember correctly.. he owed Dan (LSR) around 45k. Last I knew he was having Fireball racing build all his suspension parts. If I was you I would look into the Ricky stator tie rods, LSR's or even Gibson's........... (note: gibsons are almost identicle to the LSR's) and the ASR's are just a copy of the LSR's.
boonman
I run my own tie rods and ends..... I don't use a taper lock.... I drilled out the spindle.... And run a run of the mill, heavy duty rod end. Teflon lined none the less....... Have to get high angle though, otherwise, they just don't work.....
