Schizo
How do the Works dual rate shocks compare to stock? I heard that they are not much better then stock...can somebody who's running these shocks please comment on this?
oldbanshee
I don't run em on my banshee, but I put them on my built up warrior. They are worlds better then stock banshee or warrior shocks. I can go through the whoops a gear higher up at bull gap. Pluss they soak up all of the sharp bumps and trea roots unlike the stockers. I have no complaints at all about them.
SDD
Pretty much any aftermarket shock will do wonders over the stock generic crap. I noticed someone had a set of triple rates for sale for pretty cheap in the for sale section.

locogato11283
go for elkas!
Schizo
I know everybody says elka's are better but if the works are like a world of difference then stock ones then I think thats good enough for me, I dont really want to fork out the extra $ for elka's, they are pretty proud of their shocks. 364rocket
heres my take on on anything that cocsts money dont ever go for the cheaper way out now i am not saying to go waste money and buy unnecessary stuff i am saying that you are ready to commit to spending 500 bucks on a set ow works shocks you might as well spend another 2 hundred on top of that and get elkas of axis cuz i am willing to bet you will be kicking your self becuz you dont have what you want and a used set of works is almost as easy as giving away an ugly girlfreind you will be together for a long time
racer
where can you get axis? i dont know of a rep.
slowpokebanshee
I just put on a set of works dual rate, w/out rezzies, and they work great. i pounded them on a washboard road for about five miles big whoops, and they never faded, but my thumb did....I was tapped out fourth-fifth gear taking two at a time, I was impressed. used set off E-bay 100 bucks, sent to works to be rebuilt 140 bucks....sure beats elkas, and axis prices.... Kinda depends on what type of riding you're doing though. Works for a lot of us is just fine But for those who actually race, Elkas or Axis are worth it. Not for me though! Schizo
I just put on a set of Works triple rates and went out on the first ride with them...I was riding in some pretty bumpy sand and still managed to get it into 6th gear....big difference. Klotzban1
I have a set of Dual rate on the front of my banshee and took her to Little Sahara in Sept. I noticed that I could hit the whoops faster. Its a real noticable difference!!!! I wouldnt get rid of my front works for nothing. I launched off some dunes and landed with ease, but I way only 150 lbs and my works shocks are rated for a rider who is 180-195 lb rider. From what I've heard, they say works perform better if you set them up for about 30-35lbs heavier than what you are.
Klotzban1
I agree Led.....My Shee never offered to bottom out on the jumps and the whoops was a breeze....the only thing that went wrong was My out of shape arms 25 whoops....then a corner....a hill....a corner slide again...then 45 whoops.....then 50 whoops!!! WHEW!!! Gotta get in shape....LOL.
