kenr74
I need to replace one of the studs in my rear hub. Does anybody have some advice on getting the old one out? I was thinking BFH since I don't have a press but maybe there is an easier way.

Best thing to do is support the backside of the hub on some metal pieces or on top of a vice or similar... something with a slit or hole so the stud has room to move backwards out of the hub, but the back of the hub is supported. BenBB
Yep drive it right out, I think I set mine on a large socket (like a 22mm impact socket) to support the back side of the hub as I was wailin' on it.
kenr74
Ok, that's what I was planning on doing. Just didn't want to find out later that there was an easy way. Thanks guys.

racer
open up a vise just larger than the head of the stud then pound away. might put a block of wood over the end of it though so incase it flies out the hammer wont actually hit the hub.
