summit
I have a 1990 Banshee with fmf gold pipes and an in the box K&N filter. I have some questions. Is it normal for the slides in the carbs to be turning almost all black? Also inside the carb slides there is a hole next to the hole for the jet needle. The little bracket that you put on (with two screws) that holds the throttle cable will either cover the hole or leave it open depending on what position you put it in. Is the hole supposed to be open or closed? One more question is what temp should Banshee's be running at? Thanks

Wheatchex
Hole should be open. If not you run the risk of a stuck throttle slide. It vents the upper chamber of the carb body to the venturi so you don't get a vacuum lock on the slide. Temp: 180-200 Wheatchex
